Last month, we made our way with some friends in tow, to the Mayo Family Winery Reserve Room to have their spring menu right before they switched over to their summer menu. It was delicious, as always. It was the first time to Sonoma for two of our friends and the first for all of them to Mayo. We had a lot of fun and two of them even joined their wine club!
Enjoy…
Here is what our first three courses consisted of:
Smoked Salmon Rillette with Bellwether Farms Creme Fraiche served with the 2007 Chardonnay (Laurel Hill)
German Butterball Vichyssoise with Bulls Blood served with the 2007 Viognier (Saralee’s Vineyard)
Micro Roquette Lamb Hand Roll served with the 2007 Pinot Noir (La Cruz Vineyard)
Here were our second three courses:
Faux cous-cous salad with Caggiano duck breast sausage
2007 Malbec, Trio B Vineyard
Tuna tartare with forest nameko and balsamic chocolate
2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, Random Ridge
Candy roll pasta with hijiki blue cheese and beets
2006 Petite Sirah, Sodini Vineyard
And finally, our dessert:
