COCO500

Last Saturday, some good friends of ours took us out to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary.  They took us to COCO500 in San Francisco.  It’s near AT&T Park and it was fabulous.  We had a round table in the corner and enjoyed that table for hours!

I had the the COCO5OO cocktail (kaffir lime vodka, thai basil, bitters, lime, seltzer, raw organic sugar) and my husband had Champagne with absinthe.  Delicious!  We then had some amazing appetizers: batter fried green beans, a tasting of three artisan cheeses, truffled squash blossom flatbread with parmesan, and the ceviche made from fresh pacific catch with lime and chili served with flatbread crackers.  For entrées, the majority ordered the steak cut of the day: 15oz rib eye.  I had a fabulous tumbo tuna.  It was seared and cooked perfectly.  I had a few bites of the steak though, and it was amazing.

The highlight for me, at least, was the amazing wine one of our friends selected.  We had two bottles each of the following: a 2006 white wine from Domaine Vessigaud and the 2000 VDP Collines Rhodaniennes Sotanum.  Yes, that’s right, it was a 2000…from the year we got married.  It was divine!

Please enjoy these!

Seriously beautiful Lillian, it looks amazing and a place I would totally enjoy. Your pics alone entice, just the way photography should…
