If you’ve never been to Brugge in Belgium, I really hope this post will make you go to this tiny city in this tiny country one day. It’s pretty unbelievable. This time, we got to enjoy something very special.
We got to visit the Bosteel’s Brewery where Triple Karmeliet is made. They also make Kwak and the remarkable DeuS – a sparkling beer. Yup, you read right. A sparkling beer. Please visit my links page to read more about Bosteel’s and their three beers. It was an unbelievable experience. This is beer that is shipped and enjoyed ALL over the world, and it’s made in this tiny little facility with the “bookkeeper” using a metal tin and a steno notepad to keep track of their finances. Just fascinating. We were given a personal tour in English and the experience was truly unique and particularly memorable for us.
In addition to the lovely experience at the brewery, we also spent a day in Brugge itself. We went to one of our favorite pubs, De Garre. We also went to a great little wine bar, had the best frites you’ve ever tasted, and walked and walked the ‘Venice of The North’.
